#WeddingWednesday Why Engagement Sucks

Engagement is such a weird time. We decided to do a "short" engagement. Our engagement is a total 5 and 1/2 months. Which I think is on the shorter end of most engagements. I honestly have no earthly idea why people wait longer than that. That seems miserable.

The beginning of engagement was super exciting. We were securing vendors, locations, trying on dresses and deciding what we wanted our day to be like. All of these things are super exciting and a lot of fun to plan. It's finally planning the day you have always dreamed about and pulling off everything from your Pinterest board you started when you were 15.

This process was sped up super quick considering I knew all the vendors I wanted for our wedding since November. So our process was pretty much just putting down deposits.

After we had all of our vendors locked down things started to straight line a little bit. Ever since it feels like we're just waiting for like three months for the wedding.

So waiting is the worst. We've been j chillin waiting for our wedding day to show up. And it is quite frankly annoyinggggggg.

Another thing that sucks about engagement season is that we're making all these big decisions for our life, but we're doing them 30 miles apart via phone calls.  And making big decisions when you're not with each other just creates room for miscommunication. I am beyond ready to be in person all the time and not talk on the phone.

Here we are 30 days away from the wedding!!!!
We are both oh so ready.
Now is crunch time... everything is coming together and the wedding stress of making sure everything is planned and everything is paid for is all happening now. It's a lot. Now we're still 30 miles apart trying to keep track of every detail.

phew. wedding planning ain't no joke.
and engagement season is really just when the devil attacks your relationship the most.
We're almost there and I am so so ready to be married to JAcob.
He's the best.

How did you/are you surviving engagement season????

XOXO,
E.
